You are a year old. A. YEAR. OLD. In my thirty years on this planet, this has been my favorite one yet. I cannot imagine how much better each sequential year will be ;-)
I'm sorry this post is a bit delayed. Momma's been working overtime with you and your mobile little self (plus the business and all that lol!) But here are your happenings this month!
You took your first steps at night on 9-7-13, but didn't really let go to walking until October 3rd. You were 12 months old. The cutest thing is when you let go of us or the wall, you are so excited and proud of yourself. You'll stop and stand still and give yourself a good round of applause. So cute!
You still don't say a whole lot, but man you do let us know what you want!! I would say you are definitely strong-willed...like me, perhaps?!?
You love grandpa. Seriously. Noone else can put a smile on your face like he can. This pic is from your actual birthday and grandpa took you to a brat place for a dinner celebration. ;-)
You love school and your teachers. When I drop you off three days a week you are excited to be there and don't cry usually when I leave. You ALWAYS take great naps there- too bad you fight them more at home! Don't you love the chevron blanket? You stop by and see your Cici twice a day on those days and are recognizing that part of the routine. We love that you are being 'raised' in a church!
You are sleeping way longer chunks at night and can soothe yourself back to sleep. We had a few days of sleeping through the night after our Vegas trip which was AMAZING!! You are fully weaned from nursing (we made it to 12 and a half months) but still take one bottle at night as part of your bed-time routine.
You love the computer ipad and phone. We are amazed that you know how to turn them on and request your fav. app.
You are starting to dance when you hear music - like last night at the restaurant Charlestons with your Aunt Laura. Hillarious!
Sometimes you listen to us when we discipline you, sometimes you look at us with a glint in your eye and do it anyway. Stinker. Unless things don't go your way, you are generally a really happy boy. You love your baths, your puppies, and your books....
You clap for yourself, you wave bye-bye, you still only have two little teeth. You LOVE being the center of attention and showing off for other people. Cohen you are the light of our lives! Happy ONE YEAR!!!
