3 day refresh

Ok, so I had a bit of fun in Vegas ;-)  While I had planned my meals out, by the end of the day I (and most of my teammates!!) were hungry for real food.  During the workouts and training we had our trailmix, shakeology, nutrition bars, but dinner...mmm..dinner we definitely needed the fuel to get us through the parties.  Did I mention the parties at night? HAHAHA


Anyway, one of the big announcements for us as coaches was this new product called the 3 Day Refresh.  I have done my 3 day shakeology cleanses every quarter or so to get back on track nutritionally, so I was really intrigued to try this.  Plus, I figured you guys would want to know if I liked it??!!??


The basic idea is to refresh your insides after some not-so-hot-eating (um, Vegas...??) or if you just need a jump start on your nutrition.  You have one Shakeology (vegan only) and 2 other shake supplements a day (included in the 3 day refresh). Plus you eat fruits, veggies and healthy snacks.

The mid-morning snack is a fiber drink. Tasted good although the texture was a bit off for me.

The entire three days were pretty easy for me.  I guess I didn't feel that off track but I had gained a bit over my vacation and def had that post-vacay bloat.  I blame the traveling...bwahahahaha.
My fav meal was always breakfast.  You just can't go wrong with chocolate and powered peanut butter in the mornings..

Did I mention you can't have caffeine for 3 days? UGH....

I loved that I wasn't hungry at all.  I could run and get some hard workouts in without feeling drained and 'typical' cleansy.  The new vanilla fresh shakes were good and I found the plan really easy to follow.  I lost weight and an inch of my middle ;0) Winnnnnning!!!

The cons for me were the fiber drink. Messed with my insides a bit..another coach that has some gluten intolerance issues said the same thing.  Maybe there is something in there that bugs my tummy?  I didn't necessarily feel 'refreshed' like I do after a Shakeology cleanse. And since I have that laying around the house I am not sure I will do this again.

There are some amazing before and after pics from other coaches that did the same thing this week (just google search it, haha!) and I'm a bit disappointed I didn't see a 20 pound loss in three days.  Kidding. Kinda..

21 day fix finals!

Ok, first let me say that I needed several weeks to emotionally prep putting this blog post up.

Second, don't judge. ;-) I'm being real about my weight, my stats and my emotions.  Not saying my journey is better than yours...we are all different.  And I hope that this helps someone find the right program to start or continue their journey.  If you had told me a year ago I would be posting this I would have called you crazy. So don't judge. I didn't know...  #thanksabunch

Onward;

I took pictures in my bikini to really see the changes in my body.  I don't think I am going to be losing much more weight, so my focus for these 21 days was to see what would slim down or firm up! haha!

I started at 164 and ended at 158/157. I will say that women can relate to the dreaded 5 lbs of water weight during the month, so I'm really trying hard to not focus on the scale.  I go up and down, depending on hormones, salt intake, and the amount of wine I consume on the weekends...haha.

I had to have MY coach remind me that we can't chose where the weight will come off.  Neither can we chose where the definitions will come.  I absolutely HATE my midsection and lower body. And unfortunately neither of those spots really seem that much different to me.  But, you can see for yourself...


I see a big difference in my back.  Those chin-ups and planks are working...
Any women can also attest that the 'ladies' seem to lose all their weight first, as well.  Um, yeah, NOT so happy about those lbs gone, but lbs nonetheless.  My face appears thinner as well (maybe just the blonde?)

Anywho, I have learned a TON about my non-clean-eating ways these past three week.  When I have sugar or indulge in alcohol (BOTH totally allowed on the 21 day fix) my weight goes up and my performance on my workouts goes down.  I am in the middle of a no-sugar challenge this week to really try to push myself and so far so good.

I can't eat sweets everyday.
My fav workouts were the Dirty 30 and Total Cardio Fix.

Now...how long do you think it will take me to delete this post..hmmmmm
