Ten Months!

Double Digits!

Cohen,

Today you are 10 months old.  You have officially been outside my body as long as you were in it.  And funny enough, Mommy reached her pre-Cohen weight this month as well. :-)

Things you've been up to:
We celebrated your first Fourth of July with friends here in Allen.

You are sooooo attached to momma this month.  We think its a touch of separation anxiety that's normal around this time for babies, and also partly caused by the mayhem of our move right now.
One of my favorite 'selfies'

You love to walk with the train and the other walker.  You get so excited that you can do this on your own; when you move you sniff air really fast through your cute wrinkled nose.

Every day is an adventure.  You have not gotten tired of exploring our house yet.  I can't turn my back  or you find the dog food, the toilet water, the dead bug in the corner of the room....

You like to take things out of their containers.  The laundry and the lower shelves on our bookcases are your two favorite places to 'unload.'  I put you in the basket to help fold this day!

You love your daddy and miss him when he is in Tulsa during the week.

You still come to Sunday School class with us.  You aren't great in the church nursery, yet.  Again, I think its the separation anxiety.

You got your first ear infection :-(  This makes you a bit more clingy, but I take advantage of it while I can.  I love your little chunky-ness!

You have started to throw little tantrums when you don't get your way....head back, full lung cries.

You are babbling more with more syllables.  We've heard dada, mama, some baba, ah-ah, lala and blowing b-bubbles.

Some favorite toys are your music table, your 'walkers', little balls, the rubber keys, and the letter blocks from your toy train.

You still don't have any teeth.  I think you've been teething for most of this month, however, we have no pearly whites to prove for all the fussiness.

You wear 9-month clothes and are fitting into a couple of 12 month items.  But since you are 50% in height and weight, I'm hoping I can estimate that you will be in 'average' baby clothes for a while (helps me buy things on sale!)

You get so excited when you are in the bathroom because you notice the tub.  And that means bath time.  And apparently you enjoy it ;-)  Everytime you find yourself near that tub, you call and raise your volume until I tell you bath time is later.  So cute, kid, so cute.

We love you booger butt.
 :-)

9 months!

Cohen,

You are NINE months old.  N. I. N. E.  The end of the single-digits.  I almost cried when I looked at the 10 month sticker behind this one- you are getting so big so fast!

At your doctors appointment this week you are:
- 20 lbs 6 oz (50%)
- 29.3 cm (50%)
- head cirm is now 80% (you're just so smart those brains need a place to go!)

You started crawling on May 26th, pulling up to standing the same week, and are now tracking all over the furniture.  Your doctor thinks you will be an early walker ;-)
You love to crawl all over us.  We are your jungle gyms.  You are also Mr. Independant (I have NO idea where you get that from) You will take your pacifier at bed/nap times but only if you put it in yourself.  If we offer it, you get more mad.
You are still exclusively breastfed, but we do include you on three meals a day.  Breakfast is usually Cheerios, Orange slices/watermelon/strawberries, and some eggs.  Lunch and Dinner are whatever we eat.  You LOVE your baby cheetos and those Plum organic pouches.  Those are lifesavers when we go out to eat!
You took your THIRD plane ride this month ;-)  I think you are more well traveled than any other baby!

You love bath time and don't mind getting water poured over your head.  We've started to bathe you nightly because you are getting pretty dirty with this new-found mobility!
You are such a happy baby during the day ;-)
You had your first swim(s) this month!  First swim EVER was at the cabin.  The lake was freezing, but you didn't seem to mind!
You did like the taste of the sand...ewwww....
And your FIRST swim in the ocean ;-) McClurg family reunion, June 2013
This post has taken me about two weeks to finish.  Its been a fun month, but in the words of your pediatrician ," you are a perfect baby, both in milestones and growth, but you need to SLEEP!"
Other fun things:
We've seen a start of some temper tantrums. Joy.
You love to people watch.
You are pulling up on everything.  Your favorite spots are the coffee table, the dishwasher, and the laundry basket.
Our favorite CD are still the bumgenius and the tailfeathers.  This month the poop is easier to deal with since you are getting some solids down (TMI i know!)
You enjoy reading - at night you sit through two books without getting distracted.  I hope you always love to read!

Blessings,

Lilypie first bday
