Lucky 7!

Cohen,

You are seven months old.

You are in 6-9 month clothes, although your pj's are going to go up a size soon because you are too tall ;-)

We have no idea how heavy you are, but carrying around that infant carrier with you in it is becoming ridiculous!

Milestones:

Your laid back and happy personality is really shining through.  You smiles (full face grin), laugh, and have babbling conversations with us.  Your happiest moments are right after waking up in the mornings. Patrick and I love to sit and let time go by in the mornings especially....

Good Morning, I love you!

You celebrated your first Easter!

By this month you are flipping from tummy and back with ease, standing assisted on your play-table or coffee table, and getting up on all fours.  Sometimes you rock back and forth and I'm afraid crawling is coming sooner rather than later.

Three Grafton Boys and their Newsie caps!

You entertain yourself most of the time, making our routine a bit better now!

You love touchy books, and our night-time stories.

We're pretty sure you are saying da-da-da-da just as babble.  Daddy, however, thinks you are calling his name and loves it!

We aren't convinced you know your name just yet.  However, you do know your mommy and daddy.  This week when we walk into a room your grin gets bigger and your nose wrinkles up with it. Super cute, kid, suuuuper cute!

We've taken you off prevacid (for a week now) and the spitting up is about the same.  Mommy is also re-introducing dairy into her diet and you seem to be tolerating it pretty well!
First Swing!

You eat a jar of baby food with Ms. Susan during the day and do baby-led weaning with us at night.  We just throw you in the bath afterwards!
I'm cute.  I know it. I get away with everything cuz I'm so cute....

Here's what your typical day looks like at 7 months:

4-4:30 am - Nighttime feeding
6:15-30 am - Good morning! (you are an early riser like your momma!)
Get dressed, sit by our bathroom as we finish getting ready.  You also like your exersaucer in the kitchen as we pack up the days bags, make breakfast, and take care of your puppies.
7:30-8:00 am - drop off at Ms. Susan's for an amazing day! (usually nurse here or right before leaving)
4-5:30 pm - we pick you up
6:00 pm - dinner/bath/nurse/nap
8:30-9:00 - nurse and bed time!

We love you so much. You are the best thing that has ever happened to us!

Blessings,

My Model

My 6-month model, that is!

We had professional pictures taken for Cohen's half-birthday.  Dyan is a great friend of ours that we met through Sunday School.  She is the best and we highly recommend her!  Her website is here.

I can't decide what to do with this first one.  I think maybe I'll order a wrap for my car and just show him off to the world....

Seriously... I'll have his agent call you if you need to borrow a cute happy baby - LOL!!

My Easter Bunny

I think I like these yellow peeps....

Can you tell Mommy was off to the left?  I had the hardest time getting him to smile that day.  Fortunately he is a bit narcissistic and likes to look at himself in the mirror.  He had the biggest smiles for himself - go figure!!

Thank you, Dyan, for capturing these memories.  Now, how do I fit them all in my house since I printed them all a giant-size canvas.....?

Blessings,

He is Risen, Indeed

Easter 2013

This year celebrating Easter was a little more special - I'm not sure why - but it was a great weekend ;-)

My mom had picked up a dye-kit for our first experience dying eggs as a family.  Cohen was just as excited as we were...until he wasn't. We gave him a plastic egg to play with because the hard-boiled ones were too fragile for his grasp.  Mom, me, Cohen and Patrick had fun with our vinegar and bright colors!

See...my perfect child sometimes doesn't smile!
Easter morning we woke up and played dress up.  I just think this bunny hat is toooooo cute!
And I let him have one of my peeps.  We all know its not Easter without those yummy marshmallow bunnies....

We attended service at mom's church in Tulsa.  Cohen went down for the children's sermon time.  Mom always does this felt board story-time of the entire Easter story.  Cohen just sat on the edge of the pew looking and following.  It was the sweetest thing ever!
The entire Havlik side of the family joined us.  We even managed to get Cohen to smile at the camera for us!
Patrick, Me, Audrey (and nephew!!), Dallas, Mom and Dad, Laura, Cohen and Drew!!
He is Risen, He is risen, indeed!! My beautiful Easter family!! LOVE!!!
My baby in the lilies....before he may or may not have knocked them over :)
We waited until after church to open Easter baskets.  I've already told some of our friends, but my parents still do Easter baskets for us.  I didn't take a picture, but Laura, Audrey, I and our respective spouses had these cute mini-baskets on the table Easter morning.  They had jelly beans and a couple of mints...still makes me smile.  However, Cohen's basket was...  Wait, Cohen's TWO baskets were overflowing.  Someone see the irony here?  Anyone else's 6 month old eat candy or need two baskets to celebrate Easter?  The blue one is from his Cici and Grandpa's Easter bunny while the brown basket is from his parents rabbit ;-)

I found this light-up Easter egg at Walgreens.  He loves it!

The new shoes from his Easter basket...
A closer look at his adorable outfit.  I found it on clearance on Etsy.  Love finding those deals!!
 Happy Easter from the Graftons!!

P.S. This picture is for my friend, Amanda, because I told her I had shoe jealousy a while back.  I swore once I lost most of my baby weight, I was getting a pair of the nude pumps that everyone else had while I was all swollen preggo.  So here they are!! I love them!!!
